Saturdays final pre-season friendly vs Clapton at the Arena is a 3pm kick off Admission is £3 (Adults) £1 (Senior Citizens/Under 16's) There will be no tea bar open in the ground but you will be able to purchase hot and cold beverages plus confectionery from the clubhouse before and after the game. Look forward to seeing you there and hopefully there will be a few of the Clapton Ultras in attendance!  PLEASE NOTE:
Spectators are not permitted to bring or consume alcohol within Croydon Sports Arena |

There is a report on the Kentish Football sites of Claptons midweek victory over Bridon Ropes managed by Livsey who was at Croydon last season assisting Dickson.
Its reported that the ultras were playing up a bit!!

The ultras were on best behaviour singing throughout the game,let off a few flares in the second half must have been 30 +ultras,
shame their team left straight after the game not bothering to come to the club house for their post
match food!!

The report on the Clapton v Bridon Ropes game was, at best, inaccurate. It is incredulous to think that the Clapton Ultras would engage in 'racist' chants and following complaints from amy of those present, this element of the articles has been removed. The reference to political songs is unashamedly correct but if anyone thinks football and politics are not linked they ought to consider "Remember the 96", Kick It Out, FvH, the work of the Football Supporters Federation and Supporters Direct. To think there is no connection is naive at best. The author of the report gas since tweeted "Anyone can make mistakes" I am delighted, however, that you have sent he Ultras for yourself and their enthusiasm is hopefully going to secure the future of our great old club which, at present, is in the hands of one person. Whilst the players leaving without their post match food is unfortunate, the more salient issue is that the team management left without paying their contribution to the match day officials and this may have been the reason for foregoing the grub. To that end, one can draw some indication as to what the real supporters face in putting things right at Clapton. The shame of it is that the Ultras would have been all over that food like locusts. Good luck for the season. Hope to see you next season (we'll bring the dosh). Things change  |

spotted dog,thank you for bothering to register and respond to my post,if at any time Clapton have no game please feel free to attend one of ours home or away you will be more than welcome,our players and committee all said how much they enjoyed the atmosphere you created.We dont get many supporters so any extra would be a bonus.
Dont take to much notice of McKentish he tends to try and be sensational in his reports,you know the type.

As Russ Abbot once said, what an atmosphere at the Arena on Saturday. Considering there were 30 Clapton fans, they made as much noise as the 700 AFC Wimbledon fans who were at the Arena a few years ago. And in the absence of an entertaining second half, more flares than an Abba tribute band. Will we get any loud fans from SCEL teams, I don't think so.

Fisher,Tunbridge Wells and Ashford all have singers,they might not show at the Arena though as the Croydon ICF'S Reputation puts quite a few people off.
