Croydon 1 (Douglin pen 45)
Lordswood 2 (Smith 11, Kane 22)
Tonight, I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here was on television. Not for the first time, it felt like I'm at the Arena, Get Me Out of Here, as again, the Trams starred in a not very entertaining game.
Lordswood dominated this game. Eleven minutes into the game, Woods' Joe Kane crossed to Charlie Smith, and his shot went past Ameyaw. Charlie Gee attempted to equalise four minutes later, but his shot was saved by the Wood goalkeeper Matt Byott who dived to his right, pushing the ball out for a corner.
After a chance that went over the bar by Wood, they succeeded when there was a cross from the left, and a header from Kane with poor Ameyaw out of the way and it was 2-0 to Wood.
With 45 minutes on the clock, and a half time break to look forward to, there was a handball from a Lordswood player, and the referee pointed to the spot, Karl Douglin duly took the penalty, and scored, giving Croydon some hope.
Croydon almost equalised eight minutes into the second half when Murray-Price's chance went wide of the post, following a cross from Douglin on the right. After some possession from Wood, Chin, whose posession had improved in the second half, passed to Wise, and his shot was saved by the goalkeeper. Even with an increase in possession and improved passing, Croydon could not a second goal and Wood held on to their lead to the end.
Croydon: Ameyaw, Curtis, Chin, Elvis De Freitas, Craverio (Capt), Atkins, Murray-Price, Wise, Toney, Douglin, Gee (Badchkam 54)
Subs (not used) Degeorgeo, Spencer, James
