Now don't get me wrong Croydons pitch is in a terrible state, which is down to the local council who they hire it from, but on close inspection of Phoenix's pitch theirs is no Beckenham Town with bald patches in several area's,also the parking facilities left a lot to be desired, having to park in a side road about 400 yards away, and the ground only having 3 sides of hard standing,no one being allowed to stand along the far side touchline. Maybe they should try and sort their own problems out before criticising others!!

I had the pleasure of witnessing the aforementioned Phoenix club official at a Kent Invicta game a couple of seasons back at Crockenhill where he openly criticised their facilities as ramshackle. It's a shame that some people parade around at this level with an air of grandeur (see our nomadic friend from Epsom as another example) when to be honest they really need to get their own house in order first.
